Your Purpose Is Time Bound.

Text: Ecclesiastes 3:1; Matthew 26:18

” To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven”

And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.”

Life is purposefully designed by God to be a brief season of preparing for eternity. Your life which is calibrated in seconds is actually very short compared to eternity.
Therefore it behoves everyman to spend their time on earth in the light of the above for the fulfilment of the divine agenda.

May I ask you this pertinent question? Is your as presently being lived of any relevance to eternity. Are you in preparation mode for eternity after this timeout?
Out first scriptural focus above emphasises the interconnectivity of time and purpose.
The second scripture makes a reference to the way Jesus lived his life purposefully.
He said his time was at hand, he knew the next thing on the agenda of heaven concerning his life.
May I counsel this day that you live your life also the way Jesus did.

HOW TO MAXIMISE LIFE AND PURPOSE
LIKE JESUS

A. Live on earth like a pilgrim:
A pilgrim travels light, does not carry extra luggage to avoid being encumbered with other things that could slow him down. Hebrews 12:1-2 encourages us to lay aside the besetting weights and look up to Jesus alone.

B. A pilgrim is known to dress for his journey:
Proper spiritual dressing demands that you put on the following designs for your through this terrestrial terrain for smooth sojourn here.
1..Put on a new man (Eph 4:24; Col 3:10)
2. Put on garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3)
3. Put on the garment of righteousness (Isaiah 61:3b; Isaiah 61:10)

C. Pilgrims refrain from many things that other people meddle in, that’s why Paul said even though all things are lawful for him but not all things are expedient. (I Corinthians 6:12; 10:23)
Why would you bring yourself under the power of others, after all its not all things that edify.

D. The pilgrim lives his life ready rather than getting ready, this was the difference between the five wise virgins and five foolish others. Live your life, we advise in anticipation of the Lord who has promised to come for us. (John 14:1-3).

E. Live a praiseful and thankful life such that you will constantly enjoy the awesome presence of the Lord. ( Psalms 34:1; 92:1)

F. Finally, Live your life winning souls and disciplining them, such that your sojourn on earth will constantly generate rejoicing among angels in heaven (Luke 15:7) You should not appear before God empty handed, preach to win some, teach to disciple others and John 15:16 will become a reality in your life.

Dear reader, you cannot key into God’s agenda for your life until you have connected with Him through His only begotten son, therefore confess and repent from all your iniquities and invite Jesus into your life NOW if you have not done so.
Let us pray.

PRAYER FOCUS:
A. Hebrews 12:2- Father, help me to keep my total focus and attention on you all the days of my life as a pilgrim, help me to be time and purpose conscious in Jesus’ name.

B. Ephesians 5:27-Father, mercifully purify and keep me pure and raprurable while my sojourn last here on earth in Jesus’ name.
