How Far So Far

Text: Genesis 1: 31 (NLT)

” Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.”

God created the heaven and the earth by His awesome power and wisdom. He created man last and put man in charge after creating a special garden for him to operate from.

Today is the last day in the first month of the new year, and it is very important for us to be time conscious, and redeem the time because our purpose in life is time bound.

There are some strategies that God used in the work of creation to achieve success which I desire and counsel that you also apply to your life so that you too can record astounding success this year as you negotiate the bend into the second month of the year.

1. God had the complete and final picture in mind when He started the work of creation. Today, make effort to document what you intend to achieve in the month of February. This will serve as a reminder of your year’s goals that you wrote at the beginning of this outgoing month. Break the year goals into twelve to take care of each month.
This is the stuff that visionary people are made of, seeing it from the beginning will stir you up and keep you motivated. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE NEXT MONTH?

2. Make sure that on a daily basis you speak out into reality what you want to see happen in your life. Our God spoke the world into existence!!!! What a great God. He called things that be not as if they were, (Isaiah 40:26) the same creative word of faith are in your mouth.(Romans 10:8). Have you observed that in Genesis chapter one alone, God spoke ten times as recorded in form of ” God said” and what came out of the things He spoke are the things we are all enjoining even today. But as a co-creator you can extend the frontiers of creation further with the word of faith.

3. Furthermore, we read that in the first chapter of Genesis, God regularly assessed the progress of His creative work. God assessed His work!!!! Why would you not assess your own progress regularly this year also. Regular assessment will help you to know how well you are doing and if not what will be required to upgrade. In fact regular assessment is an indispensable part of a good plan. Without it stagnation becomes inevitable.

4. When God started the work of creation according to the first chapter of Genesis, the process was distrupted at a stage but God did not leave the situation like that, rather He spoke what He wanted to see into existence.
May be your initial plan this year was also similarly truncated, don’t despire, simply refire to acquire your desire.

” And God saw” occurred many times in the first chapter of the Bible. In fact about six times God saw what He had created and He concluded they were good. And finally, He saw that on the sixth day, His creative work had upgraded in value and was now very good. God was making increasing progress from good to very good!!! This is AWESOME.

Let’s learn these lessons in progressive self management, assess your spiritual life, your marital life, put your financial life on a scale as well, in fact dont leave any area of your life untouched so that you can accomplish great things for God’s kingdom and your family this year.

Beloved, humanity fell into sin, and after close assessment Divinity dispatched Jesus to provide the cross to lead people from damnation to justification, until you embrace the cross and accept the one who was crucified and resurrected into your life as Lord and Saviour after you have renounced your sins you are on your own. Do it NOW if you have not done so.
Let us pray.
