Topic: Why Your Enemy will Labour In Vain
Text: Proverbs 1:17, II Kings 6:8-12
” Surely in vain the net is spread In the sight of any bird.”
” Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp. [9] And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. [10] And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. [11] Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? [12] And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. ”
Greetings of perfect rest to you beloved reader and friend wherever you are joining us for this edition of revival nuggets world over.
We believe God that in the light of His infallible word as written in Hebrews 4:11 as follows:
” Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”
We pray for you that:
You will not miss the rest of God prepared for you under any guise.
Every seed of unbelief that can disqualify you that may be hiding anywhere within or around you, God will uproot it today.
You will enjoy perfect and all round rest all your life in Jesus’ name. AMEN AND AMEN.
In this edition we are focusing on Why your Enemy Will labor In Vain.
In our first scriptural reference above the living word of God made it clear that:
1. The enemy may try to set a trap or net for a bird
2. But once the bird can sight it, the efforts of the enemy will be made of no effects but in vain.
Every christian is expected to be a spiritual eagle. Remember we are to mount up with wings as an eagle(Isaiah 40:31).
One of the Characteristic of an eagle is that it has a sharp vision with which it sights its prey from a far distance and strategies even despite the distance to attack and achieve its goal.
Therefore as a child of God the antidote to the trap of the enemy is a clear sight both physical and spiritual.
Beloved, our classical example is in our second scriptural reference. Here Elisha’s eyes were opened in the spirit and God showed him the various plans of the King of Syrian against Israel and he reported the revelations to his King on many occasions thereby frustrating the King of Syria who then accused his cabinet members of working for the King of Israel until one of them told him about Elisha.
IT IS IN VAIN THAT A NET IS SPREAD IN THE SIGHT OF A BIRD!!!!!.
Beloved, all secrets belong to God there is nothing secret to our all knowing God. Hebrews 4:13 says
” Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”
But God can decide to show you what is secret to others there by helping you.
See Deuteronomy 29:29 which says:
” The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
HOW TO ACCESS GOD’S SECRETS.
1. Develop a heart that fears the Lord. See the word as it is written in Psalm25:14..

” The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; And he will shew them his covenant.”
2. Pray very violently that God will open your spiritual eyes and make secret things known to you. Elisha prayed the same prayer for his servant and God answered immidiately. See it in II Kings 6:17
” And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”
3. Pray with the word of God such as the Proverbs 1:17 above.
THE BENEFITS OF OPEN VISION AND REVELATION.
1. The enemy will be frustrated hands down.
2. Victorious life over the antagonist becomes easy.
3. Progress will become your second nature.
Beloved, once your eyes are opened, your enemies are in trouble
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY THAT GOD WILL OPEN YOUR EYES.

5. Proverbs 1:17- Father let my enemies efforts be in vain over my life. Neutralise their conspiracy and set them up against themselves in Jesus’ name.
6. II Kings 6:18-Father, smite every enemy of my destiny with blindness even now as I pray in Jesus’ name.
