Text: Zechariah 4:1-9, I Chronicles 4:10.

” Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. [2] And he said to me, “What do you see?” So I said, “I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. [3] Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.” [4] So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?” [5] Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” [6] So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts. [7] ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ” [8] Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: [9] “The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.”

” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.”

Greetings of increasing grace to you our esteemed reader and friend wherever you may be connecting with us for today’s firerised feast of the word and prayer worldover.

On the authority of the living word of God in ‭Zechariah 12:10…

“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son….”

The most high God will pour the Spirit of grace upon you and you will constantly move from glory to even greater glory .
You shall be saturated by the Spirit of supplication and God shall hear and hearken to your voice.
Therefore multiplied evidence of answered prayers will attract unlimited favour to you in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.

Today’s focus is on the third in the series on “.. But By My Spirit..”. In this edition we read in our second reference that Jabez prayed.
But a few revelations therein will help make some insights quite vivid.

First, Jabez prayed five explosive prayer requests. The man embraced grace in its totality, small wonder hls greatness manifested.
There are different levels of grace and by reason of consistency, greater grace is attainable. This is a major secret of Jabez who obtained victory over foundation challenges.

2. Jabez was aware that God of Israel is a BIG God, he therefore asked for very BIG blessings befitting our BIG GOD. Beloved reader never be shy to place a BIG demand on the GREAT CAPABILITY of our GREAT GOD. He asked a question in ‭Jeremiah 32:27 as follows:

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”

3. Finally, Jabez demanded for an all round blessings with manifold dimensions. For instance:
#…Blessing INDEED, connotes massive spiritual blessings only second to what God promised Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3. Blessings INDEED means being blessed and growing to become a blessing.
#…ENLARGEMENT OF TERRITORY, this is powerfully describing abundance of material things including massive.land acquisition.(Genesis 13:14-15; Genesis 26:22).
#…THAT YOUR HAND WILL BE WITH ME…Jabez here demanded for the power and presence of God to be demonstrated in proffering solutions and against his enemies in the same way that God stretched out His mighty hand to deliver Israel from captivity in Egypt in those days.
(Deuteronomy.3:24)
#…KEEP ME FROM EVIL.. Jabez recognized that whoever is not kept by God is on his own, moreover it is the giver of the blessing that can sustain you and allow the blessings to endure.(Psalm 121:4).
#…FREEDOM FROM PAIN..This is a pointer to a need for sound physical health. (Jeremiah 30:17)

PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY ABOUT IT.

1. Ephesians 2:8- Father, I worship and adore you for the grace that culminated to the salvation of my soul. Glory goes to you Lord in Jesus’ name.
