Topic: Look Up To God To Look Like God.
Text: Hebrews 12:1-2
” Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, [2] looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Greetings of eternal love of God to you our esteemed reader and friend wherever you are connecting with us for today’s firerised feast of the word and prayers worldover.
On the infallible promise of the living word of God as written in Jeremiah 31:3 as follows:
” The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.”
We pray for you that, the eternal love of God will never expire over your life in Jesus’ name.
Whatever you will do that will disconnect you from the eternal love of God, may heaven keep it far from you.
The most high will draw you closer and closer to Himself all the days of your life in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.
We are sharing and praying on Look Up To God To Look Like God. In our scriptural reference above we read of the demand of the demand of the new life and the fact about what we are to do to eventually prevail.
#…We are to look unto God for whom He is
#…we are to look unto God for what we desire to be now and ultimately.
To look unto God connotes to trust Him, to believe Him and to have confidence in Him.
It means to invest your totality in Him.
If the reference above tells us that God is the author and finisher, It will amount to treading the path of self defeat and destiny truncation not to look up to Him.
It is written in Psalm 34:5 saying:
” They looked unto him, and were lightened: And their faces were not ashamed.”
When you look up to God several things happen:
A. You radiate the glory of His presence.
B. Shame is kept away from you.
C. Whatever brings others down will be separated from you.
It is instructive to note that in Numbers 21:5-10; when children of Israel complained about the way they took out of Egypt to Canaan for lack of bread and water. God sent fiery serpent among them to teach them some lessons and Moses called on the Lord and he was told what to do:
A. Make a serpent of brass
B. Hang it on the cross
C. That whoever will look up to the brass snake on the cross will be healed.
An that was it. They looked up and were spared.
Today even as you look unto Jesus:
#…You will be healed.
#…You will never be ashamed.
#…Your destiny will be fulfilled.
Finally to look up to God means to aspire to change level for better. Since our God is the one who is higher than the highest, looking unto Him is focusing on a better and next level.
This was the case with John the beloved in Revelation 4:1 as follows:
” After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter”
If your level must change for better, looking up to God is not optional.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY ABOUT IT FERVENTLY.

6. Isaiah 3:10- Father right in the presence of my antagonist let my tomorrow be alright and let my seeds shine in their generation in Jesus’ name.
