Topic: Are You Ready For Post Testimony Issues?
Text: I Samuel 18:6-9.
” And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of music. [7] And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands. [8] And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom? [9] And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.”
Greetings of increasing strength to you our much loved reader and friend wherever you are connecting with us for today’s fire dripping feast of the word and prayers.
On the infallible authority of Psalm 84:7 which says:
“They go from strength to strength, Every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.”
Therefore, we passionately pray for you that:
You will go from strength to strength henceforth
Your physical strength will not abate forever.
Your spiritual strength will equally multiply
The most high will supernaturally increase you on every side in the wonder working name of Jesus. AMEN & AAAMEN.
Today we are discussing and praying briefly on the need to prepare for post testimony issues.
A closer look at I Samuel.17: 54
” And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent”
Will reveal some insights as follows:
#….David held the trophy and took it to the leader in Jerusalem.
#…The weapon that he used to cut off the head of Goliath he.took to his tent
Unlike Samson in Judges 15:15-17 who threw away the jawbone he used to finish a thousand foes even after using it. NEVER DISCARD THE WEAPON GOD USED TO GIVE YOU YOUR TESTIMONY.
Further more looking at our scriptural reference above we read that:
#….Some praise singers came up with special numbers for David comparing him with Saul.
Dear reader BEWARE OF PRAISE SINGERS. NEVER BE CARRIED AWAY BY THEIR ANTICS.
#….Saul from that moment started feeling threatened by David.
Envy is a very dangerous feeling that has pushed many people to the point of committing murder!!
Saul also attempted to kill David.
Beloved, BEWARE …OF..
#…The envy of senior brother.
#…The envy of other soldiers and their commanders.
#…The envy of other chiefs and kings advisers.
David survived all these to fulfill his destiny and he reigned in the midst of his enemies. You can’t afford to perform below this level also.
WEAPONS OF VICTORY DESPITE ENVY
1. Maximize the weapon of humility in the time.of prosperity and advancement.
2. Maximize the weapon of patience and endurance.
3. Remain seriously connected with the Holy Spirit and be guided continually.
4. Let self control become.your way of life just like David who had the opportunity to kill Saul but restrained himself.
5. Finally avoid unnecessary publicity that tends to multiply enemies and take heed to yourself.
PONDER ON THESE ISSUES AND PRAY ABOUT THEM.
Let us pray.
REVIVAL PROVOKING PRAYER BULLETS.
1. Psalm.18:2- Father you are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. I worship your majesty our wonder working God in Jesus’ name.
2. Proverbs 18:10- Father I run and hide in the strong tower of your name. Mercifully keep me safe from virulent weapons of the evil man in Jesus’ name.
3. Isaiah 54:17- Father in your infinite mercy let every weapon of the enemy fashioned against me fail woefully in Jesus’ name.
4. Romans 8:31- Father because you are for me, whoever is against me, let them fall into their own trap in Jesus’ name.
5. I Samuel 19:9-10- Father let the javelin in the hand of a possessed Saul miss its target concerning me in Jesus’ name.
6. II Peter 3:18-Father I receive grace to live a life of humility and holiness even as I escape all the antics of the evil one in Jesus’ name.
7. PRAY IN THE SPIRIT VERY FERVENTLY NOW.
