Topic: A son that keeps missing the mark.
Text: Matthew 9:2-3
” And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. [3] And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
[13] But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

On the unchangeable basis of the word of God in Psalm 40:3, which says:
” And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in the LORD.”
To pray for you dear reader that:
God will put a new song of double joy in your mouth this season and beyond.
He will saturate you with overwhelming anointing
for untold favour.
Therefore it’s a new dawn for you and all yours in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.
In this edition we are focusing on when a son keeps missing the mark. In our scriptural reference above the word of God records that Jesus was having a meeting and four friends brought a common friend of theirs who was paralyzed.
What the master said is what caught our attention and requires some serious meditation.
He said “..son, be of good cheer thy sins be forgiven thee”.
You are probably wondering what is exactly the issue here. It is the issue of SON & SINS.
How come that a son was found with sins that were potent enough to paralyze him completely!!!. BELOVED, BEWARE OF THIS FACT THAT SIN IS A POTENT CATALYST TO PARALYSIS!!!
In this case the man was completely paralyzed in every area of his life and had to be carried by four friends.
#…Spiritual paralysis : This is the greatest of every other type of paralysis, it enthrones demons and makes the mandate for dominion absolutely impossible. Avoid sins if you want to escape demonic oppression( Acts 19:13-15).
#…Financial.paralysis is usually the result of practicing sins. Many people engage in all sorts of fraudulent activities in the name of business, when justice of God takes it’s toll they will begin to cry for help. Wao!!! (Malachi 3:9-11,)
#…. Marital paralysis: When the two areas above are destroyed with sins, marital life would not be left out. There are many people who are suffering today because their marital life is based on sinfulness. Every marriage based on sin has a high probability of suffering from paralysis also. The many wives of Solomon redirected his attention away from the Almighty God.
A son that keeps missing the mark through worldliness, unfaithfulness, emulations, envying, and a host of other sins will have paralysis to contend with.
That is the reason you really need to remember who.you are every time you stand to take a stand or a position on any area of your life.
Never toy with or waste the power of sonship which you got at the point of salvation according to John 1:12 as follows:
” But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name,”
In addition, your life as a child of God should be positively different from others who are not in Christ. II Corinthians 5:17 tells us that:
” Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
It is very pathetic to see Christians suffering paralysis because they live like unbelievers and take decisions that even ordinary church goers won’t venture to take.
Sons (all saved souls) are to keep away from sins, in their own interest. This month therefore endeavor to keep your distance from sins, sinful friends and all their associated tendencies.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY ABOUT IT.
