Text: Luke 6:1-8

” And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. [2] And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. [3] Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. [4] I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. [5] So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? [6] And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. [7] Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. [8] And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: FOR THE CHILDREN OF THIS WORLD ARE IN THEIR GENERATION WISER THAN THE CHILDREN OF LIGHT”.

Greetings of upper hand in every contest to you our esteemed reader and friend wherever you may be joining us for today’s edition of your firerised feast of the word and prayer worldover.

This week all your way shall be fully established and before the Lord God of Israel.
The situations and circumstances will obey your instructions and co-operate with you this week.
Your word shall become a decree to your antagonist everywhere you go.
God will frustrate every frustration around you and turn your tests to testimonies this week in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.

Today we are sharing on the first part of the Lamentations and warnings of the master.
In our scriptural reference above the master narrated a story of a steward:
A. Whose report of non-performance and unfaithfulness got to his boss.
B. And he was told that his stewardship was over .
C. He assessed his situation and arrived at what to do on a final note.
D. He decided to collude with his boss’s debtors to reduce their debt so they could accommodate him when his master throws him out.

The master then made a statement that is the focus of this sharing and prayers. ” the children of the world are in their own generation wiser than the children of light”.

How can the children of the world be wiser in their generation than the children of light.?

1. The need for wisdom is predicated on its undeniable importance. Children of the kingdom should therefore be deliberate and intentional about their future financial plans, many believers still have to be persuaded that planning is not contrary to faith, in fact it is planning that gives clear expression to faith. Jesus took time to.pray and then went out to source for the human resources component of his ministry. Planning is not against faith.

2. Secondly, the children of the world are much more strategic in their activities. They think of the long run, they envision the end from the beginning and strategics accordingly. That is why the word of God made it clear for us to sit down first if we have anything to build and take time to calculate the cost before proceeding.

3. Thirdly the children of the world tend to collaborate with each other much more than the children of light. Believers often engage in pull him down type of criticism such that they make it difficult if not impossible for themselves to succeed and move up; in a clear display of what some researchers have identified as the crab syndrome. This is so despite what is written in Psalm 133-1-end.

This new week therefore beloved reader, endeavour to take the following steps:

A. Don’t let it ever be.said of you that you have wasted the opportunity given to you. Positively maximize every opportunity you are given to serve, work or contribute one way or the other.
B. Alway add value to your organisation and to any group you belong to such that once you leave the place you will be missed. If you were missed after you left it connotes that you were not valuable while your stay lasted.
C. Be intentional about the future you envisaged for yourself. You cannot inherit or possess the future you did not envision.
D. Seek the counsel of your forerunners and more.experienced people. Avoid the error of Rehoboam who rejected wise counsel of elders.
E. Take deliberate action in investing into the kingdom of God. Where your resources or treasures are there your heart will be as well.
F. Avoid the foolishness of disobedience in every area of life especially in financial matters rather obey and trust God because the fear of the Lord constitutes the foundation of wisdom.(Deuteronomy 28:1).
May your life not provoke lamentation of any of sort from the master in Jesus’ name.
