Topic: Lamentations & Warnings of Jesus 3
Text: Matthew 16:6-12.
” Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. [7] And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. [8] Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? [9] Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? [10] Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? [11] How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? [12] Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.”
Greetings of divine presence to you beloved reader and friend wherever you are joining us for todays edition of your revival kickstarting feast of the word and prayers worldover.
We believe the word of God as it is written in:
Exodus 33:14
” And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”
To pray for.you that accordingly that:
You will never go to where the presence of God will not accompany you.
His awesome presence will compel situations and circumstances to support your efforts.
You will enjoy rest all around you in Jesus’ name.
AMEN & AAAMEN.
We are focusing on lamentation of Jesus due to lack of understanding by the disciples in this edition. A meditative study of our scriptural reference above will clearly reveal that the disciples:
A. Mistook what Jesus said to mean another thing.
B. This misunderstanding led to the attendant maladjustment or misbehaviour.
C. Their misbehaviour consternation the master and he was disappointed.
MANY DANGERS OF LACK OF UNDERSTANDING.
1. When a man is deficient in spiritual understanding he will become susceptible to blunders and errors. That’s why Jesus told some Pharisses in Matthew 22:29 that:
” Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.”
But as you read this refired feast, the spirit of error will be far away from you henceforth in the mountain removing name of Jesus.
2. When a man lacks understanding he tends to miss out in God’s plan and agenda for his time, clime and generation. When God wanted to take the gospel to the gentiles and Peter was reluctant and God had to literally force him to go attend to the needs of Cornelius and his family.
God was left with no option than to enlist the service of Paul for this all important phase of God’s agenda.
3. Understanding was what distinguished the sons of Issachar from the other groups. According to the word of God in 1 Chronicles 12:32
” And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.”
From this singular verse, these men knew the move of heaven per time and moreover what they were to do was not hidden from them.
Finally they were orderly and not disorganised.
Can you imagine therefore the magnitude of the losses of someone who lacks understanding!!!
4. Understanding gives you access to the ministry of angels more than it would have been without understanding.
When Daniel prayed about the divine plan for his people in chapter nine of the book named after him, in chapter ten and verse one to fourteen it was an angel that God sent to deliver understanding to him!!! AN ANGEL IS COMING TO A READER OF THIS MESSAGE WITH UNDERSTANDING NOW. Receive it in Jesus’ name.
DIMENSIONS OF UNDERSTANDING.
A. You need to discover and understand God’s plan and purpose for your life.( Isaiah 61:1-7)
B. You need to understand and decode God’s instructions per time.(John 1:5)
C. The future programme of God is also to be understood so your role and participation in it will be known and guaranteed.
WHEN YOU LACK UNDERSTANDING YOU ALSO LOOSE OUT ON OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AND SO YOU ARE EASILY LOST IN THE CROWD AND RELEGATED TO THE BACK.
PONDER ON THIS ISSUE AND PRAY ABOUT IT VERY FERVENTLY ALSO.

REVIVAL PROVOKING PRAYER BULLETS.
1. Isaiah 11:2- Father I worship and honour you because you are the most high, thank you for the provision you made for the spirit of understanding for me to partake according to your word here in Jesus’ name.
2. Ephesians 1:17-18- Father saturate me afresh with the spirit of understanding, enlighten my spiritual eyes to comprehend intricate spiritual matters henceforth in Jesus’ name.
3. Acts 2:14- Father in order of Peter in this passage of your word, grant me outstanding oratorical power to give expression to the understanding you are giving me now in Jesus’ name.
4. Psalm 119: 100-Father by your supernatural understanding make me wiser than the ancient in Jesus’ name.
5. Isaiah 40:28- Father by your unsearchable understanding make me invincible to my antagonists in the name of Jesus.
6. Acts 2:14- Father the uncommon understanding that makes a man truly outstanding in every area of life let it rest upon me today in Jesus’ name.
