Topic: Be Strong In The Lord.
Text: Ephesians 6:10-12
” Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. [11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Greetings of divine renewal of strenght to you our esteemed reader and friend wherever you may be linking up with us for today’s edition of your firerised feast of the word and prayers worldover.
In the light of Psalm 84:7
” They go from strength to strength, Every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.”
We zealously pray for you that:
You will go and grow from strenght to strenght.
As you join us in this fellowship your spiritual strenght will greatly multiply.
As the Lord of host is alive, you shall be stronger and more formidable than your antagonists in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.
In today’s edition we are sharing and praying on Be Strong In The Lord, when Paul wrote the statement above in our scriptural reference he was sharing with the Christians in Ephesus to be strong because forces of darkness were determined to derail their walk with God.
He listed four categories of satanic arrays of attackers. They are:
A. Principalities
B. Powers
C. Rulers of darkness
D. Spiritual wickedness.
Beloved reader I make bold to say that these reasons are still potent today as they were in Paul’s days.
However there are many other ways,and reasons why you should be strong in the Lord and even in the power of His might.
WHY AND HOW YOU SHOULD BE STRONG SPIRITUALLY.
1. Good success which is the mind of God for you might become elusive if you are not strong in the Lord.(Joshua 1:6-9). It is one thing to be given a gift, it is another thing to receive and possess it and yet another thing entirely to keep or protect it.
2. If your enemy is formidable you have to be more formidable. This is more so when God made it clear that He can make you stronger than your enemies even on a progressive manner. II Samuel 3:1 says:
[1] Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
3. Be strong in Gods word and be up-to-date about what it says concerning your enemy.
Knowledge is indispensable for you. That’s why the words says by knowledge shall the righteous be delivered.(Proverbs 11:9b)
4. Regularly praying in the spirit such that your tongue will carry fire is another channel. The spiritual advantage of the baptism of the spirit must be fully maximised. The fact that when you pray in the spirit you can communicate with God without interruption from forces of darkness is an advantage that can leave your antagonist stranded.(Jude 1:20). MAXIMISE IT.
5. When you desire and receive the gifts of the spirit after being baptised in the spirit you become fortified with the ability to discern and neutralise every move of the enemy. This will make you invincible and deliver victories to you even sometimes without a fight.(I Corinthians 12:8 & 31)
6. To be strong in the Lord endeavour to be a covenant practioner. Make up your mind to prioritise the practice and doing of God’s word. It is the doer that will eventually be blessed with spiritual power to be strong in every area of life and live a life of all round dominion.
It is written, in Psalm 50:5 very clearly that:
” Gather my saints together unto me; Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
7. Finally, be strong in the spirit by living a holy life. According to Mark 2:1-12, Sin is the ultimate neutraliser and agent of paralysis. The paralytic man:
#1… Recovered as soon as his sins were forgiven
#2….He immidiately started his journey to destiny fulfilment.
#3…. Even those who ganged up against his recovery failed woefully once the issue of his sin was dealt with.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND ORAY ABOUT IT.

2. Joel 3:10- Father by the confession of your word, I am made stronger and reverse every form of weakness in my life to strenght in Jesus’ name.
3. Psalm 16:11- Father by the ministry of your presence let my joy regularly multiply to the glory of your name in Jesus’ name.
4. Acts 4:31- Father regularly refill me with your Holy Ghost fire and make me stronger than my enemies in Jesus’ name.
5. Psalm 18:44- Father on the authority of your word here, anywhere I appear let the enemies submit themselves to me in the name of Jesus.
6. Psalm 110:1- Father, as I properly position myself by your right hand and by the instrumentality of your power make my enemies my footstool henceforth in the name of Jesus.
