Topic: Deal With The Spirit Decisively.
Text: Acts 16:16-20
” And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: [17] The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. [18] And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. [19] And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers, [20] and brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,”
We joyfully welcome you our esteemed reader and partner wherever you are connecting with us for today’s edition of your power packed and revival igniting feast of the word and prayers worldover.
To start with, I want us to pray, Standing on the infallible foundation of Luke 10:19 as it is written:
” Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Father, the awesome power you have given to somebody reading this piece will not be lost.
Let spiritual snakes and scorpions in addition to their physical counterpart be subdued by every reader of this edition.
Faithful father let the dominion of my readers over every power of darkness be regularly upgraded henceforth in Jesus’ name
AMEN & AAAMEN.
Today’s edition is focused on the need to be decisive against the demons operating and disguising while harrassing you in any area of life.
In our scriptural reference above, we read about a scenario involving Paul, and his evangelistic team, coming across a damsel who was possessed. May I ask you to note that:
#1….The damsel was singing the praise of Paul and his team.
#2….That is a pointer to the deceptive nature of the devil and his lieutenants.
#3….But Paul felt grieved and harrassed in the spirit.
#4….He made a decree very decisively and the demon flew out accordingly.
Now beloved reader, it has been observed that many people make the mistake of focusing on the person or people being used by the devil instead of focusing on the spirit behind the evil operations. Be decisive against the spirit rather than the person in order to enjoy much needed respite in life.
In another example, in Matthew 16:23
” But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.”
In the preceding verses to the above cited verse, Jesus explicitly explained to his disciples the way he will be crucified and round off his ministry but Peter who did not understand because he was operating from the carnal point of view said it shall not be so.
But Jesus knew that it was not the real Peter but a spirit of devil simply borrowed his mouth to counteract what Jesus said. He was very quick and precise in addressing the personality behind the voice.
Physically you would think that the spirit was speaking in favour of Jesus, but the agenda was to hinder the manifestation of the purpose for which he came into the world. Haba!!, devil is an unrepentant liar for ever.
Therefore, dearly beloved:
#1….When a neighbour is attacking your purpose and doing everything to hinder you, don’t take it out on the fellow physically, rather address the spirit behind the action.
#2….When somebody is delaying your entitlement or benefit in your place of work dont take it out on the fellow physically, rather set time apart and fire the spirit behind his action.
#3…When the devil takes on the image of an individual in your dream to harrass you, don’t wake up to point accusing finger at the fellow. But fire the spirit without delay and take authority in other to exercise your dominion.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY ABOUT IT

6. Acts 16:16-20-Father every agent of darkness following me around hailing pretending to be my supporter, father expose and dispose in Jesus’ name.
