Text: 1 Samuel 17:34-39
” And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: [35] and I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. [36] Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. [37] David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. [38] And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail. [39] And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.”
Greetings of divine assurance to you our esteemed reader and friend wherever you may be connecting with us for this edition of your firerised feast of the word and prayers worldover.
There are many assurances for every believer in the word of God. Take this for instance in
Exodus 33:14 as follows:
” And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”
Therefore this week, the promised presence of the most high will go with you anywhere you go.
The presence of God will deliver the assured fullness of joy to you.
This day, and all through this working week the all round rest of God shall be delivered to you in the wonder working name of Jesus. AMEN & AAAMEN.
Today we are sharing briefly on the need to ensure you prove or test what you want to use.
In our scriptural reference above, we read about:
#1…. How David volunteered to fight Goliath.
#2….He was bold to testify about God’s wonders
to him in the past battles against lion and bear.
#3…He rejected the weapons of war that Saul offered him saying ‘ I have not proved this..’
Beloved reader and friend, this week many people will:
….Volunteer to counsel you, ENSURE YOU PROVE SUCH COUNSEL (Psalm 1:1)
….Others will invite you to join their group, ENSURE YOU PROVE THEIR GROUP BEFORE YOU JOIN. (Proverbs 1:10)
…..Some may even offer you money or business ideas or very attractive deals, beloved reader don’t join or agree to their proposal until you have proved them and their group.(Proverbs 6:1-5).
Whatever anybody is offering you today as you start a new working week ENSURE YOU PROVE IT
Somebody may ask, alright how do we prove these listed offers and others like them.
HOW TO PROVE WHATEVER THEY OFFER YOU.
1. Commit everything about your activities to God. Insist on divine guidance or no deal. Never be wise in your own eyes.(Psalm 37:5)
2. Use the mirror of the word of God to prove whatever comes to you. Because the word is sharper than two edged sword and a discern er of the thought.(Hebrews 4:12)
3. Prove every offer in the light of your past testimonies just the way David did in our text cited above.(I Samuel 17:37). You can also juxtapose the offer with the testimony of other reliable Christians, mentors and leaders.
WHY YOU MUST PROVE THE OFFER
1. The first reason is that Satan is a master of deception. Remember beloved reader what is written in 1 John 4:1 as follows:
” Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world”
2. Your destiny is too glorious to gamble with.
Jeremiah 29:11 is my witness here. Gods good thought must manifest.
3. You need to test the spirit because of many people who derive joy in your success and progress.
Samson was careless even in the face of overwhelming evidences of a nefarious intention in the saga with Delilah, and he wasted his destiny and brought pains to his loved ones.
4. You need to double check because recovery after a blunder may be difficult, harrowing if it is possible at all.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY ABOUT IT

REVIVAL PROVOKING PRAYER NUGGETS.
1. Acts 15:18- Father, I bless you because known unto you are all the works of your hand from the beginning. Be glorified forever sir in Jesus’ name.
2. Daniel 2:22a- Father mercifully reveal dark and secret things about every area of my life to me today sir in Jesus’ name.
3. Daniel 2:22b- Father with your everlasting light make known to me everything i need to know about every aspect of my life now and in the future in Jesus’ name.
4. Jeremiah 33:3- O God of great and mighty things reveal great and mighty things about my marriage and career to me today in Jesus’ name.
5. I Samuel 17:37- Father, you helped me before even when I did not know myself and what I should do mercifully come to my rescue again, and again Lord in Jesus’ name.
6. Isaiah 30:21-Father mercifully open my eyes to hear your instructions, please Lord show me the way to take and what to do per time in Jesus’ name.
