Text : Genesis ¹3:8-11

” So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no ‘ strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. [9] Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” [10] And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. [11] Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.”

Based on the word of God in Jeremiah 1:12 which says:

” Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

May the Lord God of all flesh open your eyes to see correctly, timely and successfully.
May the plan of God for your life not be obstructed by any form of spiritual blindness.
In the order of Elisha when Elijah was taken away, may you see much more than any one expects you to see in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.

Today we are sharing on ” I reject the lot of Lot”
The name Lot which was given to the nephew of the patriarch Abraham, means a veil or hidden.
Small wonder he hid behind carnality to deny himself and his lineage blessings of untold magnitude and dimension.

DISSECTION OF LOT’S BLUNDERS.

1. Lot had an opportunity to be a spiritual giant by keying into Abraham’s vision but he wasted his connection with the the man God called. Is it not written that whoever walks with the wise should be wise and the companions of fools shall be destroyed?(Proverbs 13:20)
2. Lot who was controlled by the flesh decided to choose by sight and eventually went for a place already set apart for future destruction. The same way many people are choosing material things ahead of spiritual matters today forgetting that all these things are going to be destroyed with fire.
I refuse to waste this awesome opportunity of a lifetime on frivolities like Lot.(Matthew 6:33)
4. Lot dwelt among people of strange behaviour and found it comfortable keeping their company. He actually sat at the gate of the city. This was the place where decision makers sit to preside over the affairs of the two corrupt cities!!! But the word of God said you should not sit in the seat of the scornful.(Psalm 1:1)
6. Lot could not positively influence only ten people for God. This pitiable fact was revealed by the intercessory efforts of Abraham(Genesis 18:32) and came to the open when the cities were eventually overthrown. Whereas it is written” you are the salt of the earth”…(Matthew 5:13)
Your life should be an impactful one and never a neutral gear without positive and progressive concomitant.
6. Lot who also got married by sight eventually married a woman whom he could not effectively influence for God. She disobeyed divine instructions and looked back only to become a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:25-26) Her legacy was so despicable that the word of God warned the pilgrim concerning her, saying ‘remember Lot’s wife’.(Luke 17:32).
7. Lot raised Sodom compliant children who lured their father into ungodly sexual relationship and birthed Moab and Ammon two nations who eventually became arch-enemies of Israel.(Genesis 19:34-38). What a family, what a set of offsprings. The lot of Lot must never be your lot in Jesus’ name.

PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY ABOUT IT.

1. I Corinthians 3:21-Father, I worship you again and again because all things are already provided for me. Thanks a lot sir in Jesus’ name.
2. Romans 9:14- Father mercifully lead me by your spirit, I refuse to be led by the flesh in the name of Jesus.
3. Romans 8:6- Father, I reject any hold of carnality on my destiny and command it broken now in the marvelous name of Jesus.
4. Mark 8:24- Father I refuse to see wrongly, I reject every blurring of vision, I receive the power to see rightly and according to God’s word in Jesus’ name.
5. Psalm 1:1-3- Father I reject the company of sinners, I break every connection between me and any form ungodly group both physical and spiritual in Jesus’ name.
6. Luke 17:32- Father, my family is committed into your hand, none who is connected with me will be a negative reference anywhere globally in Jesus’ name.
7. Isaiah 54:13- Father according to your word, let my children be taught of you and never by the world and let our peace be great in Jesus’ name.
