Topic: How Do You Respond to the Enemy’s Threat? part 1
Text: Isaiah 36:13-21
” Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out with a loud voice in Hebrew, and said, “Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria! [14] Thus says the king: ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you; [15] nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, “The Lord will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” ’ [16] Do not listen to Hezekiah; for thus says the king of Assyria: ‘Make peace with me by a present and come out to me; and every one of you eat from his own vine and every one from his own fig tree, and every one of you drink the waters of his own cistern; [17] until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards. [18] Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, “The Lord will deliver us.” Has any one of the gods of the nations delivered its land from the hand of the king of Assyria? [19] Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Indeed, have they delivered Samaria from my hand? [20] Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?’ ” [21] But they held their peace and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Do not answer him.”
Greetings of all round peace to you beloved reader and friend wherever you may be connecting with us for today’s refreshing feast of fireried word and prayers worldwide.
Today we stand on the authority of Isaiah 66:12
which says:
” For thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Then you shall feed; On her sides shall you be carried, And be dandled on her knees.”
To passionately pray for you that:
God will surround you with peace like a river
Anything and everything that raises its head against you will go down for your sake.
The glory of the gentiles shall be made available for your benefit for life in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.
Our focus today is on your response to the threats of the enemy, whenever it comes. The truth is that we are always wrestling with the agents of darkness, but before that happens sometimes they will send emissaries whose tongues are sharp and piecing to try all manners of verbal assaults as a way of first destabilizing the fellow before real accusations and various forms of attacks in increasing intensity are unleashed on their target.
But I passionately pray for somebody, that your faith will not falter, you will not stumble and you will not fall in Jesus’ name.
In our scriptural reference above, the word of God made it clear that King of Assyria sent a messenger with a threatening messenger to King Hezekiah.
#…The message equated gods of wood with the living God
#…The message compared other nations with the people chosen by God.
#… The messenger spoke at the loudest voice possible and embarrassed the officers of Hezekiah.
BUT THE KING TOLD HIS PEOPLE NOT TO RESPOND TO THE MESSAGE AND THE MESSENGER.
Therefore I pray for you every messenger of fear sent to you shall be subdued by fire in the name of Jesus.
This is one way of responding to the enemy and his messenger.
However you need to know when to keep quiet and when to talk, just like Hezekiah, you must be guided.
#…You can keep quiet to hear and fully comprehend the totality of the enemy’s plans and arrangements.(Eccle 5:1-2)
#…You need to keep quiet when God ask you to do so, so that you will not displease your ally and disrupt the divine plans for your victory.(Psalms 46:10)
#…You may need to keep quiet if you are being monitored so that you will not ensnare yourself with the words of your mouth.(Proverbs 6:2)
In our example here it was the method adopted by Hezekiah not to talk to the agent of the devil but to report quickly and directly to God.
Heaven responded to the cry of Hezekiah sooner than later and the word of assurance came from God which led to the mass destruction of the enemy’s soldiers by the ministry of a warfare angel.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER SO THAT GOD CAN GUIDE YOU ON HOW TO RESPOND TO THE ENEMY PER TIME.

1. Isaiah 50:4- Father thank you for the provision of the tongue of the learned for my benefit and wellbeing in Jesus’ name.
2. Acts 2:28- Father mercifully teach me the way of life that I may dwell in your presence all my life in Jesus’ name.
3. James 1:26- Father help to bridle my tongue so that I will not labour spiritually in vain in Jesus’ name.
4. John 3:30- Father let your presence increase in me and let self decrease so that I will not fall into the trap and hand of my enemies in Jesus’ name.
5. Proverbs 6:21-Father when the enemy comes with threat please teach me what to say and how to respond that I may not be snared by my statement in Jesus’ name.
6. Deuteronomy 29:29- Father when the enemy comes threatening let his secret be totally revealed to me and what to do with it in Jesus’ name.
7. PRAY IN TONGUE AGAINST VERBAL BLUNDER THAT CAN GIVE YOUR ENEMY UPPER HAND.
