Topic: Progress In The Right Direction. 1
Text: Deuteronomy 1:6-8 (AMPC)
” The Lord our God said to us in Horeb, You have dwelt long enough on this mountain. [7] Turn and take up your journey and go to the hill country of the Amorites, and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country, in the lowland, in the South (the Negeb), and on the coast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates. [8] Behold, I have set the land before you; go in and take possession of the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them”
Greetings of renewed divine compassion to you our much loved and cherished reader and friend wherever you are joining us for this edition of your firerised feast of the word and prayer worldover.
We believe God that according to Isaiah 40:4(NIV) which says:
” Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.”
God will level every spiritual mountain before you this new working week and even beyond.
Every valley that is capable of making you to stumble shall be filled up ahead of your arrival.
Every roughness on you way shall be made smooth to the glory of God of all flesh in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.
Today’s edition will focus on Progress in the right direction 1. May I let you know right away dear reader that it us not every progress made by people that is in the right direction?
A closer look at our scriptural reference above reveals and more specifically in verse seven that Israel was to take a turn and go ⁸in a particular direction.
When you turn towards a direction you turn away from the other direction, no one is designed to be able to face two directions at the same time.
Look at the way it is stated here in God’s word.
James 4:4-8
” Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. [5] Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? [6] But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. [7] Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. [8] Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
From the above word of God we can make a list of what we need to turn away from in order to make progress in the right direction.
A. Turn away from the world and turn to the Lord. Isaiah 55:7 makes it clear that we must turn to the Lord in order to make progress in the right direction.
” Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.”
It is only then that you can ask for His ways. It was a long time after Moses turn to the Lord that he was able to pray that God should show him His way.(Exodus 33:13).
I am saying that there is a way to go and there are ways of doing thing along this way!!!!
There are direction specific and customised way to deal with situations along this way, endeavor to find out so that you will not run foul of divine expectation.
B. Turn away from pride. Pride is capable of turning an angel into a chief demon the way it did to Lucifer who became Satan. Pride keeps God far away from a man thereby making the fellow to become susceptible to a higher level of oppression and possession by the devil.
May I remind you that when the spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, he became loaded with demons. Pride preceeds destruction(Proverbs 16:18) TURN AWAY FROM PRIDE IN ORDER TO MAKE PROGRESS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION EVEN AS GOD GIVES MORE GRACE TO YOU.
PONDER ON THESE ISSUES AND PRAY THAT THEY WILL NOT KEEP YOU ON THE WRONG TRACK IN LIFE AND DESTINY.

1. Proverbs 12:28- Father thank you for providing and investing in the way of life for me to benefit, thanks a lot sir in Jesus’ name.
2. Proverbs 15:24-Father by your everlasting power, mercifully keep me along the way of life that keeps a man above and away from the way of hell beneath in the name of Jesus.
3. Proverbs 16:25- Father mercifully deliver me from the path that seems right but is only leading to a bad end in Jesus’ name.
4. Psalm.65:11-Father as I walk on your glorious path let all my way be filled with goodness and fatness in Jesus’ name.
5. Exodus 33:13- Father as you begin to show me your way more and more give me the grace to guide others along this path of divine approval in Jesus’ name.
6. II Chronicles 20:20- Father as I grow in faith mercifully establish me and prosper me greatly and my lineage forever in Jesus’ name
7. LET US PRAY IN THE SPIRIT FERVENTLY RIGHT NOW IN JESUS’ NAME.
