Topic: Father Breath On My Little Effort
Text: Luke 5:1-6
” And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, [2] and saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. [3] And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people out of the ship. [4] Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. [5] And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. [6] And when they had this done, they in-closed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”
We welcome you with great joy and gladness to today’s edition of your firerised feast of the word and prayers wherever you are connecting with us worldover.
Let us share a brief prayer before we proceed, in the light of James 1:17 which says:
” Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
God will load your life with good and perfect gifts even beyond your imagination.
The father of lights will saturate your life with divine enlightenment.
You will be guided continuously by God in all areas of life and you will prevail over every form of darkness in Jesus’ name.
Today we are sharing briefly on the fact that your efforts alone will never be sufficient for success in life but in alignment with God. For it is written in Philippians 4:13 that you can only DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO SUPPLIES THE ABILITY.
God of heaven and the earth did not create you and I so that He will become irrelevant:
#…Not when He has ALL the power in heaven and on earth to do and undo.(Psalm 62:11)
#….Not when he knows every of His creatures such that nothing, not even a thought could be withheld from Him.(Acts 15:18)
#….Not when He could put an end to everything on earth within a second and nobody can query Him.
#…He being the one who enthrones and dethrones Kings, whole having the their hearts in His hand.(Proverbs 4:18)
We read in our scriptural reference above that, Peter had made all the efforts he could muster and failed totally. Then the master stepped into the matter by asking him to release his boat for his crusade which he did and the miracle of abundant harvest of fish took place.
#….Peter toiled all night, merely labouring in vain
#….God made the unexpected happened for his good.
#…. The same water, the same boat, with the same net BUT WITH THE WORD OF JESUS brought overwhelming output.
Another example of limited effects of human labour is the man by the pool of Bethesda who was face to face with Jesus and did not recognize him but said..according to John 5:7
” The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.”
But with the master on his side nobody could take his place anymore, his effort was magnified by the master and he came out of thirty eight years of stagnation. Wao!!!
Beloved divine magnification is superior to any form of personal labour or effort alone.
Finally, in John 6:6-12, Jesus needed to feed a crowd of people at his crusade and his disciples could not do anything about it except for a pack of food they got from a young lad. The master then collected and breathed on it. Suddenly there was an explosion into mighty multiplication and five thousand men not counting women and children were fed perfectly. WHERE HUMAN EFFORT CANNOT TAKE YOU, THE BREATH OF THE ALMIGHTY WILL TAKE YOU BEYOND THAT POINT.
Beloved if you want a better result this new week
A. Get yourself fully ready to seek the face of God in spirit deep worship, as you seek His face, His hand will be opened þo you.
B. Commit all your efforts, planning and programmes to the hand of God.
C. Be very diligent both at work and at kingdom expansion. Let the world know you represent a different kingdom entirely.
D. Don’t be wise in your own eyes, be receptive to counsel.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND MAXIMISE ALL THAT GOD HAS PROVIDED FOR YOU TO ENJOY.

6. Matthew 7:19-Father, every thought that is working contrary to the word of God that does not want me to do the will of God and be blessed thereby I uproot such seed by fire now in Jesus’ name.
