Topic: Lamentations & Warnings of Jesus 5.
Text: Matthew 24:3-5, 9.
” And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? [4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. [5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.”
Greetings of consistent progress to you dearly beloved reader and friend wherever you may be connecting with us for today’s edition of your revival provoking feast of the word and prayers worldover.
We stand on the infallible word of God in
1 Timothy 4:15..
” Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.”
The grace to fully align yourself with God’s word is resting squarely upon you now.
You shall profit maximally from God’s word.
The whole world will see God’s glory upon you
Your testimony will greatly multiply in every facet of life in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.
In this fifth part of the lamentations and warnings of Jesus we are focusing on the issues of end time characteristics of deception and persecution.
In our scriptural reference above the disciples went to Jesus secretly and asked him to tell them the signs of the end time and his coming.
The master then told them several things two of which are:
A. There shall be multiplication of deception and many people will be deceived by fake prophets.
B. The believers will face persecution even to the point of death!!!.
Be warned dear reader about the multiplication of deception in this endtime. All sorts of charlatans have gone out in the name of prophets and pastors with doctrines of the devil aimed at turning many away from Christ.
HOW TO KNOW FAKE PROPHETS
A. So-called prophets whose stock in trade cannot be traced to the word of God should be rejected irrespective of their appearances and packaging.
B. Any prophet who demands that their adherents or followers should bath by the river or make any form of sacrifice should be called by their real name of fake prophets. After all Jesus has been made the ultimate sacrificial lamb for us. Nothing more!!!
C. Any so called Pastor who demands that you get involved in any synthetic activity like burning candles and tying clothes of different colours such as red black etc before specific services are all the same devil appearing in different shapes, sizes and colours. Reject their offers and run to Jesus. His invitation in Matthew 11:28 is still potent even now.
More over the master warned believers against persecution. He said they will be persecuted in various ways.
VARIOUS WAYS OF PERSECUTION
1. Believers can be persecuted verbally whereby their words are rejected and they are abused and called different names. Remember that even Jesus was said to be mad and that he was possessed!!!!!
2. Also believers are usually confronted physically and assaulted. In the Bible days it was so and it is still so today.
3. Some believers have even lost their jobs because they identified themselves as Christians or preached to somebody at work.
4. In the same way that Paul and Silas were thrown into prison, several believers are today suffering in various prisons worldover.
HOW TO HANDLE PERSECUTION.
1. First ensure that you are living uprightly such that no stain of sin can be traced to you under any guise.
2. Take whatever may be thrown at you with joy just like disciples of old who counted it joy that they were considered fit and qualified to suffer with Christ or in his name. This is the way Acts 5:41 put it for our benefit.
” And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.”
3. Pray fervently to God to further anoint you and others going through such experience such that the power of God will be better demonstrated thr9ygh you with undeniable miracles for the enemy to acknowledge Gods wonders.
4. Pray for the people persecuting Christians that God will mercifully encounter them the same way He did for Saul of Tarsus on the way to Damascus.
PONDER ON THESE ISSUES AND PRAY THAT GOD WILL UPHOLD YOU TO THE VERY END.

6. Acts 12:7- Father by the ministry of angels and light from heaven, the way you delivered Peter from prison, set your people free from every captivity of the enemy NOW by fire in Jesus’ name.
