Topic: The Decoding Power Of Godly Zeal
Text: I Kings 3:3-10
” And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. [4] And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. [5] In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. [6] And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. [7] And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. [8] And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. [9] Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? [10] And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.”

We are set to share on the decoding power of godly zeal. Zeal can be defined as a palpable energy and enthusiasm in pursuit of a goal.
Godly zeal means the enthusiasm towards the expansion of God’s kingdom.
This was the greatest possession of Solomon when he became the King of Israel succeeding his reputable father, David the sweet Psalmist of Israel.
WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT SOLOMON
A. Solomon became the King at a tender age of twelve years!!!.
B. Solomon really loved the Lord.
C. He was not ambitious as he never contested for the throne.
D. Solomon learned the special power of sacrificial seed and maximised same.
It took the zeal of God for Solomon, to offer:
1. Unprecedented sacrifice to God.
2. Solomon did it again and much more than before.
3. When God appeared and demanded for his desire he demonstrated a level of wisdom uncommon with twelve year olds globally.
4. His zeal became his master key for decoding and accessing Gods treasure house of much more than your request order of answer.
SHARPEN YOUR ZEAL, UPGRADE YOUR LOVE FOR THE LORD AND LET IT GUIDE YOUR OTHER ACTIONS.

A. Love the Lord with undeniable evidence
B. Be a committed giver, ON AN INCREASING BASIS LIKE SOLOMON.
C. Let your request be kingdom focused.
THE ULTIMATE OUTCOME IS THAT GOD WILL GIVE YOU MUCH MORE THAN YOUR REQUESTS.
