Topic: Your Deeds Speak To Your Needs
Text: Luke 7: 1-6
” Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. [2] And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. [3] And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. [4] And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: [5] for he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue. [6] Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:”
Greetings of instant answers and solutions to you our much loved and cherished reader and friend wherever you are connecting with us for today’s edition of your fire stirring feast of the word and prayers world over.
In today’s edition, we are focusing on “Your deeds speak to your needs”. It is common knowledge that many people know so much but only do a little or a fraction of what they know.
Intention may be good but action is superior. That is why the Bible makes it clear in:
James 1:25 that:
” But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
Proverbs 14:23, the word of God gave more credence to this fact.
” In all labour there is profit: But the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.”
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 even further corroborated this fact rather explicitly as follows:
[1] And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: [2] and all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”
In our scriptural reference above, we read that:
#1….A servant of a centurion was sick and almost dying.
#2….The centurion then sent elders of the Jews to ask Jesus to please visit his house and healed the servant.
#3….When the elders got to the master they testified that the man is worthy of divine attention because ” HE LOVED OUR NATION AND BUILT A SYNAGOGUE FOR US”
#4….It is instructive to say that, The man’s deeds spoke for his needs.
Today, what are you doing that could speak for you in future?
In Acts 9:36-40 Dorcas had died but the people sent for Peter to show up urgently to pray for the lady who was already dead. Everyone of the women spoke with one voice testifying about the cloth she sewed and gave them. Her deeds compelled the disciples to seek for Peter for prayers. HER DEEDS SPOKE ELOQUENTLY FOR HER NEEDS.
Beloved, do something significant, ground breaking to:
….Wipe away tears from peoples faces.
….. Lift up people from the pit to the peak.
…..Make somebody to smile with a sense of belonging, not for them alone but for God.
BECAUSE YOU ARE THE EXTENSION OF GOD’S HAND.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY ABOUT IT.

6. Isaiah 42:1- Father, as your servant and spokesperson to my generation, mercifully uphold me and pour your spirit upon me afresh to deliver your total counsel to my generation in Jesus’ name.
