Topic: Your Burden:The key To Your Enlargement
Text: Daniel 9:1-3 NLT; Nehemiah 1:1-4 NKJV
” It was the first year of the reign of Darius the Mede, the son of Ahasuerus, who became king of the Babylonians. [2] During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the LORD, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years. [3] So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and fasting. I also wore rough burlap and sprinkled myself with ashes.”
” The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. It came to pass in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the citadel, [2] that Hanani one of my brethren came with men from Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped, who had survived the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. [3] And they said to me, “The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.” [4] So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.”
Greetings of wonders of divine lifting to you our esteemed reader and friend wherever you are connecting with us for today’s edition of your firerised feast of the word and prayers worldover.
The word of God which is forever settled in Psalm 3:3 NLT tells us that:
” But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.”
Therefore the lifter of heads will lift up your head
Shame that forces people’s head to bow will be far away from you forever.
God will shield you with favour and cover you with honour and dignity in the wonder working name of Jesus. AMEN & AAAMEN.
Today we are focusing on burden as the key to your enlargement. To be burdened is another way of saying you are challenged, bothered,pressurised or motivated to do something. Burdens are lifted when you keep doing something positive about it. Without burden, life can be dull, drab and uninspiring. I detest such life.
For instance, Daniel read the word of God as recorded by Jeremiah and came across an important piece of information regarding the number of years that God said Jerusalem shall be desolate, and he caught a burden and started praying until an angel visited and delivered understanding to him. WHAT ARE YOU BURDENED ABOUT?
In our second scriptural reference above, we read about Nehemiah, who got an information about the fate that befell the people who had returned to Jerusalem because the wall of the city had collapsed. He started praying and planning until the walls were fully built and restored. WHAT ARE YOU BURDENED ABOUT?
WHATEVER YOU ARE BURDENED ABOUT IS THE KEY TO YOUR ENLARGEMENT.
Permit me to restate this that, until Nehemiah caught a burden for the restoration of the wall of Jerusalem his journey to the Governors office did not start!!!
Daniel did not receive an angelic visitation with evidential divine approval until he has caught a burden for the liberation of his people with the attendant fire prayers.(Daniel 9&10)
In I Samuel.1:1-14 Hannah was forced to catch a burden by the constant pestering of the second wife of El-Kanah due to her inability to conceive and in verse nine she arose in faith, arose in giving and arose in prayers, and the rest as they say is history. God opened her womb and she gave birth to six children!!!.
HOW TO CATCH A BURDEN.
1. Study God’s word using various methods to shake you out of your comfort zone. Daniel caught his burden by reading.
2. How do you assess your destiny fulfillment today in the light of the second coming of Christ or all you are bothered about is materialism? Think again.
3. What type of information is filtering into your ears from various departments of your church, what are the challenges of the church today and what are you doing about them?
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY ABOUT IT
AFTER WHICH YOU SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS.
