Topic: The Lad With a Large Heart.
Text: John 6:9-13
” There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? [10] And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. [11] And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. [12] When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. [13] Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.”

On the authority of heaven settled word of God
in Genesis 13:14-15 which says:
” And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: [15] for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.”
Therefore the Almighty God will open your eyes of understanding.
Nobody will take over your place of inheritance
Your generation will enjoy the abundant blessings of the Almighty God in Jesus’name.

In our scriptural reference above, we read about a lad whose story reveals the following lessons:
#1…He has a large heart for Jesus
#2…He has a large heart for giving.
#3…He has a large heart for being a helper to Jesus, and to the people
#4….A large heart for understanding situations and circumstances..
Beloved, according to I Kings 4:29 which says
” And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.”
It is evident that largeness of heart is a characteristic of great people.
This lad had the treasure of greatness loaded inside of him, he did everything to exploit and maximise its manifestation.
HOW TO MANIFEST AND MAXIMISE YOUR POTENTIAL
A. Look for needs to meet, and never run away from challenges as is usually common among regular and average people. David ran towards Goliath and not away from him unlike his ELDER BROTHERS!!!(More educated,more exposed and widely traveled brothers with small minds)
B. Don’t think about your immediate comfort, rather embrace delayed gratification in order to make lasting impact. Many people because they want to start enjoying immediately have taken the foolish decision to forgo an ocean for a tiny river!!! Imagine what Esau lost, forgoing inheritance of double portion and much more for a plate of food and lifetime servitude!!!
C. Nobody becomes eternally relevant thinking about maintaining status quo, therefore learn to think out of the box. DON’T ALLOW YOUR CALCULATIONS TO CONSTITUTE A LIMITATION TO YOUR IMAGINATION. This pattern of thinking was the secret of liberation of Jacob from servitude in Laban’s house. (Genesis 30:1-end)
ENOUGH THEY SAY IS SUFFICIENT FOR THE WISE.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY WHILE TAKING ACTION ON IT ACCORDINGLY.
