Topic: Your Deed Is Superior To Your Creed
Text: Acts 4:13-17; Acts 11:25-26
” Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. [14] And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. [15] But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, [16] saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.”
” Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: [26] and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”
Greetings of unprecedented divine empowerment to you our esteemed reader and friend wherever you are connecting with us for today’s edition of your firerised feast of the word and prayers worldover.
In the light of Joshua 1:5 which says:
” There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
We zealously pray for you that:
Whoever confronts you is confused,comfounded and compelled to bow to you.
The manifest presence of God will exceedingly sorround you.
Therefore you will prevail on all fronts and rejoice in the Lord for life in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.
Today we are praying revival provoking prayers on The superiority of Your deeds over Your Creed.
People are very fast to introduce themselves and are usually very easily annoyed when not properly introduced.
This is true of even many Christians who would demand that all their real and imaginary titles including J.P be read or enumerated before they stand up for recognition.
Excuse me beloved friend, in our first scriptural reference above we read about Peter, that:
#1…The Pharisees saw Peter’s boldness without any need for him to introduce himself.
#2…They also saw the miracle God performed through him.
#3…They knew these were manifestations beyond their natural capacity and intellectual endowment.
#4…They concluded that it was their relationship with Jesus that affected them so powerfully.
The question is how did this happen?
It happened because the man decided to do what he was taught and knew rather than merely professing to be a disciple he went about DOING THE WORK.
How is it, dear reader, that your connection and knowledge of Jesus did not produce radical and confounding outcome like Peter’s own?
….YOUR DEED IS MUCH MORE NEEDED TO ADVERTISE THIS KINGDOM OF LIGHT THAN YOUR MERE CREED.
In our second scriptural reference we read about the disciples being called Christians for the first time in Antioch without they introducing themselves as such.
They were so called because they behaved like Christ. CAN SOMEBODY LOOK AT YOUR ATTITUDE AND SAY YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN!!!
YOUR DEED IS MORE VALUABLE IN SHOWCASING CHRISTIANITY THAN YOUR CREED.
God speaking through James 1:25 says:
” But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
Further more when Elijah ran before Jezebel in I Kings 19 sequel to his decapitation of Prophets of Baal and the threat that followed from the wife of King Ahab, God Almighty met with Elijah in the bush where he ran for cover and asked him a question in verse nine of first Kings chapter nineteen as follows:
” And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?”
The man was afraid and ran into the bush
He was located by God.
He was fed and refreshed
YET HE DID NOT RETURN TO HIS PLACE OF ASSIGNMENT, BUT FOUND A CAVE AND STILL HID THERE, GOD ASKED HIM…
“…ELIJAH WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE…”
Elijah provably did not know that by runing away from Jezebel he was emboldening the woman and indirectly expanding the kingdom of darkness!!!! WHAT AN EXPLOSIVE INSIGHT!!!
After God has delivered you from your fears and restored your health, home, career etc. Even after God has assured you that His presence is with you, Why are you still hiding from anyone in the place of your primary assignment? DEAR READER WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHERE YOU ARE?
PONDER ON THIS QUESTION…” WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR THE EXPANSION OF GODS KINGDOM WHERE YOU ARE?…”

HALLELUJAH PRAISE THE LORD.
1. Psalms 124:1-2-Father if it had not been that you were on my side, the enemy would have devoured me. Thanks a lot for shielding me from the evil one in Jesus’ name.
2. Psalms 110:1-Father I reposition my self spiritually today at your right hand, let my enemies be made my footstool permanently in Jesus’ name.
3. Isaiah 54:17-Father let every weapon fashioned against me be frustrated and any antagonistic evil tongue be condemned suddenly in Jesus’ name.
4. Ecclesiastes 9:10-Father henceforth I receive the baptism of diligence and impactful living in Jesus’ name.
5. Acts 4:30-31-Father let the fire of the Holy Spirit rest upon me with greater boldness for a life of all round dominion in Jesus’ name.
6. Numbers 23:23-Father, surely there is no enchantment against me neither is any divination permitted against me. Every diviner and enchanter carries their load henceforth in Jesus’ name.
7. PRAY IN THE SPIRIT FERVENTLY NOW.
