Topic: What Would You Be Remembered For?
Text: Isaiah 38:1-6; Genesis 8:1
” In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’ ” [2] Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, [3] and said, “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. [4] And the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying, [5] “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years. [6] I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.” ’
” Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.”
Greetings of uncommon testimonies to you our esteemed reader and friend wherever you are joining us for today’s edition of firerised feast of the word and prayer worldover.
On the pedestal of the living testimony of the Psalmist in Psalms 66:19-20
” But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. [20] Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me”
I believe and I prophesy to a reader of today’s nuggets. You will have an uncommon testimony.
God of all flesh will speedily answer all your prayers whenever you cry to him.
God who has not turn you away will put your antagonists to flight.
Mercy of God will reverse every trouble targeting your life in Jesus’ name. AMEN & AAAMEN.
Today we shall share briefly on an important issue which is also in a question format: What Would You Be Remembered For?
In our first scriptural reference reference above:
#…God sent a message to King Hezekiah to prepare for the return journey home.
#…He prayed very passionately such that the word of God said he CRIED TO GOD.
#…He was so confident of his significant contribution to God’s Kingdom that he literally asked for the book of remembrance to be opened concerning his past record of service.
#…God’s response was instant and immediate.
# Heaven ordered a reversal of the earlier pronouncement, God changed His mind and decision because of Hezekiah’s undeniable record!!!!! WHAT AN EXAMPLE…
Beloved reader if similar scenario were to play out concerning you today, how will you respond and what will be the heaven’s response.
In our second reference above, we read about how God remembered Noah and all the animals in the ark. One can safely deduce here that:
#…God remembered Noah’s righteous stance
#…God remembered his life of obedience to God’s instructions.
#…Even though it had never rained prior to this time and people were making jest of Noah, yet he obeyed God.
#…God must have remembered his labor of several years it took to build the ark.
In Genesis 26:1-5, God took a number of decisions concerning Isaac and stated the reason.
#…He decided to guide him from missing God’s plan for him.
#…God spoke expressly to him as to where to stay.
#…God restated the covenant he had with his father.
#…God promised to bless Isaac because He remembered Abraham’s obedience.
You too must do something NOW for God to remember and avert premature death in your life and family.
You must begin to do something NOW that God will remember and come to your rescue and insulate you from all forms of negative flooding experiences of others.
You must begin to do something for good NOW that God will remember and bless your children and their seeds in their generation.
PONDER ON THIS MATTER AND PRAY FOR GRACE.
Let us pray.
1. Malachi 3:16- Father thank you for the book of remembrance that you have made provision for. Glory goes to you Lord in Jesus’ name.
2. Matthew 6:33- Father help me to seek your Kingdom and its righteousness henceforth much more than before in Jesus’ name
3. Genesis 8:1-Father in the order of Noah, father remember me and deliver me from any form of flood of evil in Jesus’ name.
4. Isaiah 59:19- Father, remember the sacrifice of your son on the cross and raise a standard against every invader in Jesus’ name.
5. Isaiah 38:2- Father with your uncommon compassion, remember my little sacrifice and magnify it to your glory in Jesus’ name.
6. Psalm.20:1-3- Father remember my little, little offerings according to your word and deliver all my outstanding testimonies to me in Jesus’ name.
7. PRAY IN THE SPIRIT POWERFULLY NOW.
